Carefully crafted for photographers eager to capture the mesmerizing dance of light and nature in the enchanting lands of South Iceland, this five-day Búrfell and surroundings route offers an absolute visual feast. Harboring extraordinary opportunities for both macro and wide-angle landscape photography, this region brings together Iceland's most iconic textures, ranging from cascading waterfalls to vibrant volcanic craters. The first day of our journey begins at the foothills of the majestic Búrfell mountain. Here, you can explore the Orkusýning exhibition detailing the region's hydroelectric power before capturing magnificent reflection shots on the still waters of lake Úlfljótsvatn. The wooded textures around the Útilífsmiðstöð skáta Úlfljótsvatni camping area also provide unique perspectives. On the second day, you will turn your lens toward more rugged, volcanic terrains. After shooting the dramatic cloud transitions over the Súlufell and Sandfell hills, you can photograph the wildlife, especially waterfowl, around lake Álftavatn. The third day is dedicated to one of the most popular stops on the route, the Kerið crater.
