Instead of expensive tourist facilities, this route promises to fit the silence and majesty of untouched wilderness into your frame. High-altitude mountains like Kerling and Syðri-Súla merge with sharp valleys, offering a unique play of light that changes every hour. The first day of your photography adventure begins at the foothills of the imposing Gloppufjall mountain. You can then explore the dramatic geological structure of the region by taking wide-angle landscape shots in rugged terrains like Kambfellsfjall and Hvítalækjarfjall. On the second day, your route takes you to the high peaks. You will photograph the majesty of Mount Kerling reflected in the still waters of lake Hraunsvatn, then capture panoramic shots on challenging yet rewarding hills like Litli-Krummi and Stóri-Krummi.
