Gezirota Methodology: What Happens in the Background?

That perfect route that appears before you in seconds while using Gezirota is actually the result of serious mathematical calculations and a data filtering process behind the scenes. Our goal is to save you from getting lost on the map; while doing this, we use the most transparent and reliable methods. Here is what you might wonder about how our system works:

1. How is the Data Selected? (From 17 Thousand Points to 4 Thousand)

We have a massive raw data pool (approximately 17,700 records) covering places to visit across Turkey. However, Gezirota doesn’t want to present you with an ordinary map. We first classify this large mass according to its categories (nature, history, food and drink, museum). Then, we examine real user reviews on Google Maps, the number of evaluations, and the official status of the place. Only 4,300+ “elite” places that are above a certain quality and truly worth seeing are approved and included on our map. Places that close down or have a drop in service quality are eliminated over time thanks to our algorithms and the “Error Reports” we receive from you.

2. How Does the Route Engine (Wizard) Work?

When you enter your starting point and the number of days into the Plan Tour wizard, our advanced route calculation engine goes to work in the background. It does not use straight-line distances; it routes over the real road network and derives travel times from road-type speed assumptions (live traffic and legal speed-limit data are not used).

3. What Are Points and Badges Based On?

Every travel plan you prepare receives a score between 0 and 100 based on its quality standards. This score is not given randomly; it is based on three main criteria: * Power of the Places: The higher the average Google ratings of the points you add to your route, the higher your quality score. * Balance and Diversity: Instead of planning a tour consisting solely of restaurants; when you sprinkle ancient cities, museums, and waterfalls in between, the system rewards this cultural balance. * Driving Fatigue: While exhausting drives exceeding 5-6 hours daily lower your plan’s score, slow and digestible routes receive high scores. Well-balanced tours scoring 90 and above are crowned with the “Master Traveler” badge.

In short, Gezirota offers a mathematical companionship that places your comfort and the footsteps of real travelers at the center, entirely without any commercial guidance.
