The first day of the adventure begins at Alacahöyük Örenyeri, which possesses worldwide fame for its tremendous royal tombs and unique sun discs belonging to the pre-Hittite period. After passing through the monumental sphinx gate and breathing the air of thousands of years of history, the Alacahöyük Müzesi, where finds from regional excavations are exhibited, is examined in detail. Following this journey into the depths of history, the borders of the Boğazköy – Alacahöyük National Park, where nature and history embrace, are entered. The climax of the day is experienced upon reaching the Boğazköy Hattuşa Örenyeri, the massive ancient capital of the Hittite Empire. While walking among the Lion Gate and massive temple ruins, you will feel the grandeur of one of the ancient world's greatest military powers.
The second day begins with the steep cliffs and fascinating valley of İncesu Kanyonu, balancing the heavy weight of history with the tremendous power of nature. After a peaceful walk in this canyon, which is approximately twelve kilometers long, the route changes its direction to the Çorum Müzesi in the city center. Flawlessly exhibiting the region's millennia-old archaeological accumulation in chronological order, this museum serves as an absolute guide for understanding Hittite history. Following the museum tour, the ruins of Eski Küçükkeşlik, one of the hidden historical stops of the route, are visited to breathe the serene atmosphere of the countryside. The conclusion of the tour takes place at Yazılıkaya, the largest open-air temple of antiquity where Hittite kings and gods are masterfully carved into the rocks. This pantheon engraved on the rocks reveals the belief world and artistic genius of ancient people, ending this historical journey in a legendary manner.
