This eight-day journey is specifically designed for history enthusiasts who wish to trace the footsteps of various civilizations and experience the true spirit of ancient eras.
Your journey begins in Şanlıurfa, widely regarded as the starting point of human history. Here, you will visit the Balıklıgöl complex, where faith and legends intertwine, and explore the rich collections of the Haleplibahçe Mozaik Müzesi and Şanlıurfa Müzesi. Afterward, you head to Göbeklitepe Örenyeri, famous for its massive obelisks that changed our understanding of history. On the second day, you enter the mysterious underground world of Cappadocia, discovering the tuff-carved Kaymaklı Yeraltı Şehri and the Göreme Örenyeri, which features significant early Christian frescoes. The third day takes you to the heart of Central Anatolia in Konya, where the Çatalhöyük Örenyeri sheds light on Neolithic settlement patterns, and the Mevlana Müzesi stands as a universal center for Sufism.
Reaching Denizli on the fourth day, the magnificent Hierapolis Örenyeri, the historical Kleopatra Pool offering a chance to swim among ancient columns, and Laodikeia Örenyeri form the most impressive stops of the route. The fifth and sixth days are spent in İzmir. After visiting Efes Örenyeri, one of the grandest metropolises of the ancient world, and the lush Meryem Ana Tabiat Parkı, you tour the İzmir Arkeoloji Müzesi. You then travel north to explore the Bergama Müzesi and the breathtaking Bergama Akropolü on a steep hilltop.
The final two days are dedicated to Antalya on the Mediterranean coast. Following a visit to the Antalya Müzesi, you take a walk along the colonnaded streets of Perge Örenyeri. On the final day, you marvel at the extraordinarily intact theater of Aspendos Örenyeri, visit the Antalya Etnografya Müzesi, and conclude this grand journey in the pine-covered atmosphere of Olympos Örenyeri.
