When you reach the legendary Sümela Manastırı, built with incredible mastery on steep cliffs, you will be caught in that deep mystical atmosphere and feel that time has frozen. Immediately after slipping away from the spiritual air of the monastery, the elegantly built Küçük Ayvasıl (St. Anna) Kilisesi, one of the ancient Byzantine legacies of the region, welcomes you. You make the satisfying closing of the day in the shadow of the Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Heykeli, which allows you to witness the powerful periods of Ottoman history.
